    Who can register ?

    No matter you are a rookie, an experienced runner or a pro, the Marathon of Bordeaux Métropole welcomes you. 

    All the runners born in 1998 or before may register to the full marathon (20 y.o. in 2018).

    All the runners born in 2000 or before may register to the duo marathon and the half marathon (18 y.o. in 2018).

    All the runners born in 2002 or before may register to the relay marathon (16 y.o. in 2018).

    Minors of 16 or 17 years must present an authorization to participate from the parents.

    Runners entitled to FFA, FFTRI, FSGT athletics, FSFC athletics, UFOLEP athletics or any other federation will have to provide the organization  a copy of their valid license, attesting a valid medical certificate. If you are not entitled to any of those federations, a valid health certificate delivered by your doctor is mandatory. It must have been delivered less than one year before the race day and must include "no contraindication to the practice of running in competition".

    When do I have to present my health certificate ?

    If you are not entitled to FFA (with the exception of "athlé découverte" and "athlé santé/loisirs" licenses), FFTRI, FSGT athletics, FSFC athletics or UFOLEP athletics, you have to bring your medical certificate on site.

    Will there be massage facilities?

    After the race, physios and podiatrists will receive you in the massage center located in the runner area.

    Is a time limit required ?

    You have six hours to finish the marathon course. If you run the half-marathon, this time limit is three hours.

    Is it possible to cancel or transfer my registration ?

    Your registration is firm, definitive, personal and can't be repaid, for any reason. The bib is not transferable for any reason too. If you resell your bib to a third party, you will be liable in the event of accidents occurred or caused during the race.

    However, If during your registration, you choose the wrong category( marathon / half-marathon), you have 48 hours to send us an email in order to repare the mistake.

    Will there be toilets available ?

    You will find toilets at your disposal in start and finish areas, but also in relay areas, aid stations and sponges areas.

    When will I be able to get my result?

    The resultats will be made available in the Village and on the website www.marathondebordeauxmetropole.com, as the races go on and soon after the finishes.
