Château Pape Clément

When in the 13th century this vineyard was offered to Bertrand de Goth, this archbishop of Bordeaux, later consecrated Pope Clement V, devoted all his talent to successfully improving the wine-making processes there. In the 19th century, it was Jean-Baptiste Clerc who was responsible for establishing the reputation of the Château's wines. By acquiring it in the 1980s, Bernard Magrez began his journey towards excellence in the production of this Grand Cru.

At the gates of Bordeaux, this haven of peace, witness to the upheavals of history, sees 60 hectares of vines flourish, radiating around neo-Gothic architecture. In its gardens, the thousand-year-old olive trees and the imposing Lebanese Cedar silently watch over the Castle. Close to Gustave Eiffel's glass roof, a few steps higher, Château Pape Clément finally reveals all its period charms.

Bernard Magrez, the sole owner of four Grands Crus Classés, opens the doors of his prestigious Château to allow you to live a unique experience at the heart of Bordeaux's Art de Vivre.

Château Luchey-Halde

A unique history.

The rebirth of a domain for an ambitious project

In 1999, Bordeaux Sciences Agro, Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs Agronomes, brought Château Luchey-Halde back to life 80 years earlier. Located in the heart of the Bordeaux Metropole, Château Luchey-Halde benefits from an exceptional terroir. An extremely thorough pedological study has enabled the vineyard to be optimally located on this land of Graves, which is by nature intended to produce great wines.

Quality driven by the competence and innovation of a leading school

The teacher-researchers and the Château's team work daily to reveal the best of our vines. A state-of-the-art production facility contributes to the production of fruity, intense and powerful wines.

A strong commitment to sustainable development

Bordeaux Sciences Agro sets an example in the management of its urban vineyard. Concerned about continuously improving its environmental performance, the château is a member of the 1st association for the Environmental Management System (EMS) for Bordeaux wines, certified ISO 14001. Through an agro-ecological programme based on research and innovation, Château Luchey-Halde also aims to demonstrate that environmentally friendly practices are economically viable.

Château Picque-Caillou

Close to the prestigious Château Haut-Brion, Château PICQUE CAILLOU extends its 22-hectare vineyard to the very gates of Bordeaux, the historic cradle of the appellation. Under the decisive leadership of Paulin and Isabelle Calvet, this superb gravelly soil has been endowed with all the assets that go into making a great wine. The vines are ploughed and cultivated without weedkillers, hand-picked, followed by a drastic selection and a 12-month ageing period in 40% new barrels... This produces a wine of high lineage, remarkable balance and delicacy.
